if you surround yourself with toxic people for long enough, you’ll begin to forget that all people aren’t that way. if you surround yourself with people who don’t support you and believe in you, and people whose morals (and the things they consider to be important) are strikingly different from your own for a long enough period, you’ll find yourself constantly down and disappointed. if someone is bringing you strife and anguish and pain on a near constant basis, let them go. don’t pause, just do it. because there are people out there who will actually stand for what you believe in, and will make you feel good about yourself. they will enable you to be better and to be the greatest you that you can be. you won’t be able to see them if you keep spending time wading in the muck that those toxic people have made, though.
